Be my friend!

I love you,
She whispered to the winds,
A message to be ferried across,
You would see, her eye was beaming,
Hazy coloured, of a youthful grace,
Lend me a hand, be my friend, she said,
For the wind shall do her job,
In the forefront of love and truth,
It was a simplest of implores,
Be my friend, was all she inquired,
But his heart trembled, on trepidation,
For in his heart, love was lost,
Believing, nothing shall reprimand him,
He shielded, closing door of love and friendship!
